I love my Andriod handset.

I am secretly in love with the Special K cereal.

I love laughing and telling really really dumb jokes.

I can type 110 words per minute on nerd talk and about 65 words a minutes in normal english.

I don't like websites that have music playing the second you open it.

I am all about epic and awkward moments in life. Like cliff jumping with umbrellas- both epic and awkward.

I have PRO status in all the Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort games.

I love ethnic food, especially Thai, Mexican & Chinese.

I have a soft spot for pancakes.

The White Chocolate Raspberry Scone from Woods coffee owns my life.

Cocoanut Kenny's in Bellingham rocks my life. Hawaiian BBQ pulled pork = heaven.

We should get lunch... seriously! ASAP!

I like meeting new people, especially people that can take a joke and tell a good one.

My fiance Anna is really really cute.

Hi, I'm John-Paul but most everyone calls me JP. If i were to describe myself in two words it would be: Social and Nerd. If've been around me for more than a minute, you'll know that I love spending time with people whether it be watching football, playing frisbee or chatting over some drinks just as much as I love getting my nerd on.

My Camera and I

I would tell you a story about how I got my first camera but months before I ever got a camera, I got a Canon flash unit from a good friend of mine. I didn't have the money to buy a camera, so I spent months learning about that flash. I learned how to the ins and outs of this little light making machine before I ever owned my own camera. I of course borrowed friends cameras to practice on. While learning about this little flash thing, I learned something that alot of photographers have a hard time grasping. Photography is all about light. It's about controlling it and making it work for you. I try to challenge myself every shoot to be able to make light work for me rather than being lazy and just looking for the perfect light.

I once read a book that said to be good at photography, you must be both an artist and engineer. You have to understand light and color, shadows and highlights, subject matter and what you're trying to say. The creativity and the science of photography is what facinates me and makes me want to learn or try something new and inventive everyday. I don't ever want to be classified as just a editoral photographer or a portraits photographer or a wedding photographer. Photography is an art which I love and excel at. With that in mind, I also don't want say I am the best at everything which is why I have the opportunity to work with other talented people, and together we make up JP Lumansoc Photography, a company that is here to create images and products for you whether you're a business, family, or a bride who wants to remember your special day in the best way possible.
